Scientists agree links between environmental factors and child brain development

The Scientific Consensus Statement on Environmental Agents Associated with Neurodevelopmental Disorders was published by the Collaborative on Health and the Environment’s Learning and Developmental Disabilities Initiative (LDDI) on 20 February 2008.

Signed by over 50 of the world’s top researchers and health professionals in the environmental health field, it summarizes the latest science about environmental contaminants associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities and developmental delays.
