ENGLISH -

The Chemicals Health Monitor Project is a new project of the Health and Environment Alliance in collaboration with other partner organisations across Europe. The project will contribute to the tools and structures necessary so that important health stakeholders can understand the REACH labyrinth and have their views about key decisions voiced. The project will also provide authoritative information (in a form accessible to the nonspecialist public) to support measures to reduce harmful effects of hazardous chemicals on human health and the environment, and to choose safer alternatives.

The project started in March 2007.

DEUTSCH -

Chemicals Health Monitor; haben zum Ziel die allgemeine Gesundheit zu verbessem, indem sichergestellt wird, dass wichtige wissenschaftliche Beweise für die Verbindungen zwischen Chemikalien und gesundheitlichen Problemen möglichst schnell in politische Maßnahmen umgesetzt werden. Unsere Strategie setzt auf eine verstärkte Pflege des Dialoges, um vermehrt Ansichten teilen zu können und einerseits die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Politikern und Regierungen und andererseits der wissenschaftlichen Forschung, Ärzten und Gesundheitswesen, Patientengruppen, Umweltschutzorganisationen und der breiten Öffentlichkeit, zu fördern. Wir wollen die überzeugende wissenschaftliche Grundlage hervorheben, um zusätzliche Kontrollen bestimmter Chemikalien zu erreichen und EU-Regelungen fördern, welche auf Vorbeugung und Mitsprache beruhen - mit einem besonderen Augenmerk auf die Einführung von REACH -, sowie den Ersatz von gefährlichen Chemikalien.

Das Projekt wurde im März 2007 von der Health and Environment Alliance in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Partnerorganisationen in ganz Europa ins Leben gerufen.

Chemicals Health Monitor tiene como objetivo mejorar la salud pública garantizando que la evidencia cienticífica clave sobre el vínculo entre sustancias químicas y la mala salud se traduzca a la política lo más rápido posible. Esta estrategia implica fomentar el diálogo, compartir perspectivas y promover una mayor colaboración entre políticos y gobierno, por un lado, y los investigadores científicos, profesionales médicos y sanitarios, grupos de pacientes, organizaciones medioambientales y el público, por el otro lado. Trabajamos para destacar la convincente base científica para mejorar los controles sobre ciertas sustancias químicas, y fomentar las políticas de la Unión Europea que se basen en el principio de la precaución y en la participación, especialmente respecto a la implementación de REACH, y la sustitución de las sustancias químicas peligrosas.

El proyecto fue lanzado por la Alianza para la Salud y el Medio Ambiente en colaboración con otras organizaciones asociadas en toda Europa en marzo de 2007.

Chemicals Health Monitor vise à améliorer la santé publique en garantissant que les preuves scientifiques les plus importantes concernant les liens entre produits chimiques et problèmes de santé seront traduites en actions politiques le plus rapidement possible. Cette stratégie implique l’encouragement du dialogue, le partage de points de vue et la promotion d’une plus grande collaboration entre les décideurs et les gouvernements d’une part, et les chercheurs scientifiques, professionnels de la médecine et de la santé, groupes de patients, organisations environnementales ainsi que le public d’autre part. Nous oeuvrons pour mettre en évidence le cadre scientifique indiscutable qui soutient la nécessité de contrôles supplémentaires sur certains produits chimiques et nous encourageons les politiques communautaires préventives et participatives, en particulier en ce qui concerne la mise en application de REACH et le remplacement des produits chimiques dangereux.

Le projet a été lancé en mars 2007 par Health and Environment Alliance en collaboration avec d’autres organisations partenaires présentes dans toute l’Europe.

ITALIANO -

Il progetto Chemicals Health Monitor si propone di migliorare la salute pubblica assicurando che le prove scientifiche sui legami tra sostanze chimiche e malattie vengano tradotte al più presto in una politica adeguata. La strategia prevede promozione del dialogo, condivisione di prospettive e miglioramento della collaborazione tra responsabili delle politiche e governi da una parte e ricercatori scientifici, professionisti medici e della sanità, gruppi di pazienti, organizzazioni ambientali e pubblico dall’altra. Lavoriamo per dare massimo risalto a basi scientifiche convincenti, affinché vengano aumentati i controlli su alcune sostanze chimiche; inoltre incoraggiamo politiche dell’UE che rispettino i principi di partecipazione e precauzione, in particolare per quanto riguarda l’attuazione della legislazione sulle sostanze chimiche [REACH->rub21 e la sostituzione di sostanze chimiche dannose.

Il progetto è stato lanciato nel marzo 2007 dalla Health and Environment Alliance in collaborazione con altre organizzazioni partner di tutta Europa.

MAGYAR -

Chemicals Health Monitor célja azt elérni, hogy a vegyi anyagok hatásaival kapcsolatos vizsgálatok eredményeit mielőbb fi gyelembe vegyék a vegyi anyagok használatának szabályozásában, s ezáltal a lakosság általános egészségi állapota javulhasson. A stratégia része a párbeszéd elősegítése, a lehetőségek számbavétele, valamint a döntéshozók és kormányok, illetve a kutatók, az orvosok, a betegek, a környezetvédő szervezetek és a lakosság közötti együttműködés elősegítése. Célunk, hogy felhívjuk a fi gyelmet arra, hogy a vegyi anyagok szabályozása során a tudományos eredményeket is számba kell venni, és hogy ösztönözzük a megelőzés és részvétel elveinek érvényesítését a gyakorlatban, valamint a kockázatos vegyi anyagok helyettesítését az uniós politikában, kiemelten a REACH-szabályozás alkalmazásában.

A projektet több európai szervezet támogatásával a Health and Environment Alliance kezdeményezte 2007 márciusában.

ROSSIYSKAYA FEDERATSIYA -

Проект «Мониторинг воздействия химических веществ на здоровье человека» (Chemicals Health Monitor) направлен на улучшение здоровья населения, обеспечивая максимально быстрый перевод на язык политики научного подтверждения связей между воздействием химических веществ и ухудшением состояния здоровья людей. Эта стратегия включает стимулирование диалога, обмен мнениями о перспективах и содействие укреплению сотрудничества политиков и правительств, с одной стороны, и медицинских работников, объединений пациентов, экологических организаций и общественности, с другой. Мы стремимся привлечь внимание к неопровержимым научным данным, чтобы обеспечить дополнительный контроль над определенными химическими веществами, и способствуем реализации политики ЕС, отвечающей принципам предосторожности и участия общественности, особенно в отношении осуществления REACH и замещения опасных химических веществ.

Проект был начат в марте 2007 г. Альянсом по воздействию окружающей среды на здоровье в сотрудничестве с другими партнерскими организациями в Европе.
